The Directorate of legal studies, submits proposals to the government for the sanction of various schemes and also monitors the progress made by the government law colleges in the implementation of the schemes.
The director submits proposals to the government for obtaining financial allocation for the department activities and ensures the availability of all the infrastructural facilities required for the colleges including the teaching and non-teaching staff.
The directorate of legal studies is the competant authority to process the applications received from the students for re-do , break of study, late admission etc., and grant permission for the same with the approval of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar law university where ever such permission is required.
Those students who seek transfer from one college to the other college, are transferred by the Director of legal studies on Merit basis.
